Gio Ponti (1891-1979) was one of Europe's most influential architects and designers of the 20th century. Ponti viewed architecture as more than simply creating buildings, he also designed the interior and conceived the furniture, lighting and appliances. Heavily influenced by the Italian concept of ‘la dolce vita’ (the sweet life). He provided a new perspective on traditional Italian design, blending luxury style with functionality.

In 1928 Gio Ponti founded the design magazine Domus, subtitled Architecture and decor of the modern home in the city and in the country. The magazine edited by Ponti emphasised the importance of aesthetics and Italian decorative arts. Ponti's signature mirror collection from 1925 was designed for his own home on Via Randaccio in Milano.

The Mirror decorated the walls in his bedroom on the 3rd floor. The Randaccio Mirror is elegant and simple, the crown-like detailing on the top, which was often used by Ponti is a reference to its original time period but the mirror is able to add personality to any contemporary bedroom, bathroom, hallway or a dressing room.

Jacques Adnet (1900-1984) was a French designer known for his clean lines and simple forms of an unadorned Art Deco style. Early in his career Jacques exhibit at the Exposition Internationale des Arts where it is thought the term Art Deco.

  As an innovative thinker and original in his choice materials he was among the first to integrate metal and glass. His interior design projects included apartments and offices for the French president Vincent Auriol.

In 1950, Jacques Adnet formed a partnership with a famous French fashion house, where he developed a collection of leather-covered furniture. He designed the elegant, distinctive round leather mirror with equestrian inspired detailing: today the mirror is licensed to Danish design producer Gubi- The Adnet Circular Mirror.
