Gubi Matégot Tea Trolley

DescriptionThe technique of Rigitulle, where perforated metal is combined with metal tubing was pioneered by Mathieu Matégot. The technique allowed metal to be bent, folded and shaped in ways which created transparency, weightlessness and modernity not seen before. The Matégot tea trolley was designed between 1953 and 1954. The spacious trolly has two trays, the upper available in different colours and the lower in black and includes a newspaper holder. Placed on four rolling castors the lightness of the trolley makes it suitable for contemporary and period interiors. |
