Vipp was founded by Holger Nielsen in 1939, after buying a metal press he made his wife Marie a bin for her hairdressing salon, he went to his one-man workshop and crafted what today is known as the Vipp pedal bin. 

Fast forward 50 years and Vipp is owned and operated by Holger and Maries grand children Kasper and Sofie, the bin has been placed in permanent collection in the Museum of Modern Art in New York. Vipp has expanded its curated collection into furniture, lighting, kitchens and bathrooms. They have stayed true to the principles of ‘less but better’
