Swedese Lamino Easy Chair - Sheepskin

Lamino is an example of quintessential Scandinavian design. Light visual appearance and made from from natural materials, the chair is carefully designed with the human form in mind which makes Yngve Ekström's 1956 design as relevant and functional today as it was then. 

In 1945 Yngve Ekström along with his brother Jerker and friend Bertil Sjoqvist founded ESE furniture (later Swedese) in a small town of Vaggeryd. At the time 16 furniture companies employed over half the towns population, today only Swedese remain.  In 2020 to celebrate their 75th Aniversary Swedese launched the Anniversary edition Lamino Chair which features White Pigmented Oak frame and  honey Scandilock sheepskin.  It has proved so popular that it remains available albeit without the Anniversary seal.

In 1999, the Lamino chair was named the Swedish furniture design of the twentieth century by the influential Swedish magazine"Sköna Hems".  You can order the frame in various woods (oak is available in both natural lacquer or oiled finishes) and upholstered in 17mm 'Scandilock' sheepskin also in a range of colours.  You can also select to add a foot stool which will be supplied in the same finishes as the chair.
