The S-Table designed by Marcel Gascoin in 1953 is an extendable table with simple tapered legs, a solid frame and a space efficient rectangular table top that offers great flexibility as it extends by a meter - allowing the table to seat upto ten. The table top splits across the centre and slides apart creating a space for the two insert leaves which are stored underneath when not in use. Gascoin’s strive to combine functionality and elegant design is evident in the S-Table that would certainly make a statement due to its traditional oversized and ornate style.
