The Kaiser Idell lamp was designed in 1931 by Christian Dell. Today, it is recognised around the world as an icon of Bauhaus design and an example of the movement’s versatile, minimalist designs that still feel modern and current. Christian Dell designed lamps Gebr. Kaiser & Co.

The first catalogue was launched in 1936 in which the table lamp model 6631 Luxus appeared for the first time. “idell” is a reference to the word idea and his last name, Dell.

Fritz Hansen releases the Kaiser Idell 6631-T Luxus in brass, and matt grey, the brass is untreated so in time the lamp’s brass details will gain a natural patina making each light unique.
